Boston Standard Company of Boston, MA is scouting a full-time Installation Operations Manager to help manage all installations of plumbing and HVAC systems for our valued customers. In this role, you can expect to work Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM and be available via phone in off-hours as needed. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN INSTALLATION OPERATIONS MANAGER

In this Installation Operations Manager role, you take charge of overseeing and managing all plumbing and HVAC installations, including ordering equipment to ensure jobs go off without a hitch! Working closely with customers, you are sure to handle any issues that arise, including providing same-day responses to all customer concerns and work hard to reach a resolution. Being a people person, and dedicated to exceptional customer care, you work hard to foster positive relationships with clients that result in positive online reviews and return business. Being reflective and seeking to grow, you take every opportunity as a chance to grow and develop in your role.

 

Being an active leader, you are happy to "jump in the ring" and lead by example. You help inspire others to do their best and constantly improve. You provide guidance and support when handling difficult, complex problems or in resolving escalated complaints and disputes. Being an approachable leader, you make yourself available to answer questions and be a resource to help everyone succeed. You cultivate an open, honest, team-oriented, and healthy work culture.

 

Being a collaborative leader, you work closely with the install coordinator, and efficiently manage the installation schedule. You also oversee all hiring and training for your department. Although you spend much of your time in the field, you are active in maintaining all administrative duties as well. You are meticulous when reviewing and approving all completed invoices, and accurately file and monitor install warranty claims. You seek to emulate the values we uphold as a company, and you are dedicated to working professionally with everyone, from clients and vendors, to subcontractors and team members. You help identify ways to maximize efficiency and profitability, and report on performance metrics and use analytics to measure productivity and goal achievement. At the end of the day, you feel a sense of accomplishment knowing that your oversight helps result in company success and highly satisfied customers.

 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN INSTALLATIONS OPERATIONS MANAGER

 

  • Previous experience in plumbing, HVAC, or a comparable trade
  • Can plan large jobs and close sales
  • Computer and technology skills needed for scheduling, invoice creation, and communication with staff and customers
  • Excellent leadership skills
