WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU AS AN OPERATIONS MANAGER

As our Operations Manager, we need you to help hire, train, manage and support our technicians and apprentices and ensure the success and profitability of our service department. Working closely with the Field Supervisor, you help with planning, directing, and controlling the day-to-day operations of our technician team and establish performance improvements. You also establish department objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards. Your leadership and oversight help bridge the gap between our company and customers, ultimately leading to their return when other home service needs arise.

In addition to providing operational management, you help keep on top of training hours for technicians, scheduling and conducting routine training sessions in the areas of customer service, sales skills, time management, technical competency, cross-training, better practices. You take a hands-on leadership approach and take time to ride along for service calls to ensure quality standards and help inspire all field personnel to perform at their best! You cultivate an open, honest, team-oriented, healthy, and vital work culture.

Finally, you pride yourself in being goal-oriented and a problem-solver, so you take time to consider new ways to ensure complete customer satisfaction! You also find ways to improve efficiency, including creating, monitoring and reporting weekly on Service & Maintenance KPIs. Although you are focused on the output of your team, you are mindful to keep up on all administrative duties as well. At the end of the day, your leadership assists in a smooth workday for the entire company!

  • Previous experience with a service company in a leadership capacity
  • Excellent computer skills and use of electronic devices
  • Completed high school diploma or college degree
  • At least 1 year field of experience, formal training and/or certification in a trade
